Yellow Whimsy

Exploring New Mexico with my sister reveals treasures at every turn, and my mind did a silly happy dance when coming across this unique fencing. The graceful curves sparked memories of the green seahorses my mother appliqued on the bedspread she made when I was little.

At the same time, I had visions of the plastic French curves I used as guides early in my illustration career to make shapes in my art. Isn't it funny how the mind can wander all over the place?

Gently tugging myself back to the present, I become enchanted by the pairing of straight lines and curls, noticing how harmoniously and elegantly they co-exist both as metal and shadow.
