Coming into Port

What fun it is to watch a huge freighter approach the Golden Gate Bridge and ease its way under and through the opening! Each time, as I contemplate the stacks of containers on the deck, I wonder if there truly is room for it to clear the deck of the bridge. My breath slows as the bow edges forward, and then the midships. So far, all is well! As the freighter continues to move into the Bay I see that there is plenty of clearance after all. Relief washes over me and I take a deep breath in! -Lynette Cook
