The Journey
The Great Wall of China is a fortified wall with watchtowers that stretches for 5500 miles. I visited there with my mother a few years ago. To me, the tower interiors, with their arched doorways and windows, are a metaphor for the passages in life we all experience. As this series expanded, I included other historical structures as well.
